Wenn die Sonne die Erde berührt - When the sun touches the earth

Eigentlich war ich zu müde um diese Uhrzeit und dachte zudem, dass ein Photo vom Balkon aus nicht gut werden würde. Dennoch habe ich das Teleobjektiv rausgeholt und mich raus in die beißende Kälte bewegt – und wurde belohnt mit dem herrlichen, roten Licht, das die Sonne über die Bergkämme auf die Gipfel schickte und so nach und nach die Berge in “Flammen” setzte. Es hatte viel Schnee gegeben in den vorausgegangen Tagen und so ist auch eine abgegangene Lawine zu erkennen, deren Abrißkannte deutlich hervorsticht. Schade, dass die Lifte um die Uhrzeit noch nicht geöffnet haben.

In point of fact I was too sleepy at that early time and thought that this would’nt end in a good photo. But I got my telephoto lens and went into the biting cold – and I was remunerated with that gorgous, red light that the sun has sent down over the mounain crests and has set the peaks into red “flames”. Within the last days there was a vast amount of snow and some avalanches – you can see one tearoff edge that is highlighted by the sun. A real pity that the lifts are not in operation at that time.
